| Description of the problem | Leak from the motor oil cooler housing, on the 3. 6l pentastar v6 engine from a 2014 jeep wrangler. The oil cooler housing was revised in the 2014 model year from a metal part to a plastic part. Mine started leaking at 20998 miles. The leak is identified primarily by a pool of oil forming in the "v" at the base of the cooler housing, and motor oil running down off the top of the transmission bellhousing and around the transmission pan (automatic transmission). The leak is not a transmission leak, it is an oil leak from the motor oil cooler housing. |
