| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2014 jeep wrangler. While driving 10 mph, the radio stopped working as well as other buttons on the instrument panel and the steering wheel. Before discovering the failure, the contact heard an audio indicator and a message displayed for an oil change. Afterwards, the oil change display warning was no longer visible, only the audio indicator. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who advised the contact to research online for open recalls. The contact found nhtsa campaign number: 16v288000 (air bags), but the vin was not included. The manufacturer was not made of the failure and the vehicle was not taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing or repairs. The failure mileage was 42,000. |
