| Description of the problem | Jeep was totally dead on 8/9/2017. .. I replaced battery and it cranked but none of the electrical controls on steering column work, i. E. Blinkers, horn, lights, stereo controls, wind shield wipers.. Etc. (anything on the steerimg column minus the ignition switch). I took it to a mechanic and he stated the ipcm is bad and needs to be replaced. Mechanic stated he has seen 3 off these this week alone from chrysler products. It is a 2014 with 40k miles, never been off round. Check engine light came on about a month ago with the code p054c but went off at the next crank up and hadnt come on again. Why would this part just fail? It's nothing i did. Sounds like a faulty part. |
