| Description of the problem | Jeep wrangler 2012 reverse gear will not stay in place on manual 6-speed. After placing gear in reverse and initiating movement in reverse gear, the gear pops out of place. Poses safety issue: not able to go into reverse when expected; car stops suddenly while trying to go into reverse; driver must keep hand on reverse gear rather than being able to turn and look behind shoulder. Brought matter to attention of manufacturer dealer representative in february 2013 and they have stated that replacement part is on back order. Manufacturer and dealer have not taken any action for 2+ months. |
