| Description of the problem | The front brake lines have an insulator that covers the hard pipe to rubber connection. This insulator allows moisture to collect between it and the metal fitting that connects the two different line materials. The connection rots through and then begins to leak. The rear lines do not have this insulator on that connection and they are in perfect condition. The insulator appears to be the cause of the premature failure. I noted the loss of brake fluid while doing other maintenance on the jeep. |
