Description of the problem	This vehicle is equipped with a 6 speed manual transmission. When crossing a busy highway the shifter/transmission pops out of gear with such force as to feel like you were struck from behind. It also leaves you dead in the water so to speak, with traffic coming at you. This was the 1st of several incidents like this that has happened. Though these incidents happen at low speed they pose the threat of injury or death from being struck while your vehicle is out of gear. I reported it to the selling dealer it came from who referred me to amoco transmission to have it looked at under warranty. Ammco referred me to go to a jeep dealer because there is a tsb concerning this problem. Once again i contacted the selling dealer i purchased it from to see how they wanted to proceed. They contacted the local jeep dealer and were told that yes chrysler knows of the problem but it is nothing they're fixing under warranty. This issue should be a recall before someone is injured or killed. I have checked online and found that apparently this is an ongoing problem that many others have and are going through with their manual transmission equipped jeep wranglers.
