Description of the problemI drove my 2010 jeep wrangler sahara unlimited through water that was sitting in a pasture that had been shredded. 30 minutes later my car was on fire. The design of the skid plate allowed the grass that was floating on the water to be pushed under the skid plate and around the catalytic converter, within 30 minutes the grass dried and caught on fire. I had 3 kids in the car on our way back from a rodeo and ended up watching my jeep burn at 1:00 in the morning. Chrysler will not take any responsibility for this and has denied my claim. The back skid plate has a lip that dips down and allows the possibility of debris to be sucked up around the catalytic converter. The gas line and the transmission are right next to the catalytic converter which is dangerous. My car was a total loss luckily we were all got out of the car without injury, i do plan on making sure this danger is known since chrysler will not take responsibility for their design flaw.
