| Description of the problem | E s p a deadly idea that is being forced upon us. May of 2010 i purchased a jeep wrangler unlimited. First weekend of september i had e s p failure. Took it to jeep the following wed. They attempted to return it to me unable to duplicate, no parts replaced. The problem did not "go away ". E s p failures have been happening since 2007. A safety device to save you in a crash should not cause the crash. Only about 12,300 miles on the vehicle. Factory stock. No mods. Jeep buying back the vehicle will not protect me or my loved ones. The others will still be out there on the road. Forced legislation of this will actually create other problems in addition to the failures. Various "hack jobs" will be performed in order to remedy the problem but will actually cause more problems. I already have to dodge weaving drivers for other reasons. Drunks are at least attempting to drive. Has no one any common sense anymore? If i wanted to be driven i would hire a chauffeur. Remember the auto seat belts that threw people out of their cars and caused them to be killed or paralyzed. ( i personally know someone that this happened to). How about the air bags decapitating children? That really saved lives there. Let us not forget the recent prius failures. |
