Description of the problem | "takata recall" s43/nhtsa 16v-352 received this notice of recall in july 2016. Called dealer who indicated parts were being manufactured and would take about 2 months to receive. September 2016, called dealer and the timeline for parts is maybe next year. Called fiat chrysler automobiles (fca) in july and again in september. They have no timeline for the parts to arrive. They have no options to give us except for driving the jeep at our own risk or park it. The fca recording and the person with whom we spoke are passing the buck... There is nothing we can do. It appears to be more of a disclaimer. We were told that there have not been too many incidents with these takata air bags and no deaths. This is contrary to the national news and reason for the recall. |
