Description of the problem	The tire pressure monitors and valve stems in the jeeps need to be looked at. We have had two literally "blow out" of our tire in less than 2 months. The last time my husband and son were traveling on the highway and lucky they weren't hurt or killed as after it blew out the tire shredded and they ended up on his rim. I called chrysler/jeep and they have me a case #. Our local jeep dealer and a local tire store apparently told me this is a common problem that the valve stems/monitor rust and the seal isn't good on the tire anymore so they blow out... We could replace for $80 if we wanted... However there is no guarantee it won't happen again. Only way to fix it is to replace all monitors with rubber valve stems. I wasn't willing to wait on the "case" and have my family's safety at risk so i had them replaced on our jeep. Of course chrysler says there is nothing else they can do now b/c we handled it ourselves. We weren't asking for money or for them to pay -- all we want is to make sure this doesn't happen to someone else. They are aware of the problem and won't do anything about it. Someone is going to get killed. These can blow out at any time or place. My husband and son are just lucky. Please help get this problem taken care of before someone gets injured or dies!!!
