| Description of the problem | Problems with steering started at 3600 miles and have gotten progressively worse to the point of nearly causing accidents. Jiggles and excessive play in steering on normal roads and wretching steering on bumpy mountain roads to the point of swerving into other lanes. Jeep tightened steering gear box twice and stated "it was just loose" however after warranty expired, they now say the gear box is destroyed and i need a new one. The steering gear box is an issue that needs to be addressed with chrysler as, per the internet, 8 of 10 jeep wranglers in the year 2008, 2009 are having the same issue. |
