| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2008 jeep wrangler. The contact stated that while driving and depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle would shift into neutral. The failure would recur sporadically and the vehicle was taken to the dealer who was unable to diagnose the failure. The dealer replaced the transmission twice in an attempt to correct the failure but to no avail and the failure would recur within six months following repairs. The manufacturer was contacted who advised that it would be left up to the dealer to repair the failure and offered no further assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 40,000 and the current mileage 81,850. |
