| Description of the problem | Abs unit failed. Yellow dashboard warning light illuminated. Red brake warning light was not illuminated. The brake pedal when pushed traveled to the floor. Front wheel brakes became completely inoperative as verified by jacking up the front wheels and testing. Rear brakes still operated, but minimally. Suspect the abs unit fails by sticking in a faulty bypass state that disables most of the braking capacity, instead of a fail-safe fault mode. |
