| Description of the problem | 2007 jeep wrangler - every time i fill the gas tank, since roughly 10,000 miles (now at 63,000) the auto shut off feature of gas pumps will not shut off in time. This causes roughly 1/4 gallon of fuel to spill down the side of the vehicle. This has been a recurring situation for a couple years. I cannot rely on the auto-shut off of the pump with this vehicle. This is a known issue for many jeep wrangler owners, since the new model from 2007. Multiple attempts to fix under warranty were denied by dealerships. I am finally scheduled to replace the gas tank (a known fix for the issue); but will be paying for it out of pocket, as the warranty has since expired. |
