| Description of the problem | When filling the fuel tank with fuel, the tank does not properly vent causing fuel to spurt out the filler neck as it approaches full. The gas spurts on the vehicle's 1/4 panel, on the person filling the vehicle and on the ground. This has happened now during the last several fill ups. You must also fill slowly or the gas nozzle shuts off as if the tank is full. I have an extensive automotive background and it is obvious that the tank is not properly venting. This occurs in boats when permanent mounted fuel tank vent lines become blocked or collapse over time. |
