| Description of the problem | Tl*the contact owns a 2007 jeep wrangler. On december 23, 2008, while driving 35 mph, the vehicle went out of control and would only steer to the right. The vehicle then began to accelerate and the stabilizer system activated on its own. The vehicle switched into two wheel drive. The contact depressed the brakes and pulled the wheel in an attempt to stabilize the vehicle. The vehicle proceeded into the left lane and was pulled to the side of the road and shut off. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and they found no failures. The dealer turned off the electronic stability control. The current and failure mileages were 23,000. |
