Description of the problem	The auto shut-off feature of the fuel system does not work. When i fill up the gas tank, fuel will spray / spill out. The first occurrence that i experienced was around 40k miles. I brought it to the dealership (as it was still under warranty). They advised me that they could find nothing wrong. At that point, it was occurring intermittently. At some point shortly after the warranty expired, the auto shut-off feature of the fuel system failed completely. Now, every time that i fill up the gas tank, fuel will spray / spill out. This issue continues to this day. This is a safety issue (fuel spilled on the vehicle, on the operator and on the ground) and an environmental issue (fuel spilled on the ground), not to mention the economic issue of paying for wasted gasoline at about $4 per gallon. Based upon the number of reported issues with this, i can't believe that there has not been a recall to remediate this problem. There is definitely something faulty with the design and/or manufacture of the parts used in the 2006 jeep wrangler. This is not something that someone should have to deal with in a vehicle that they purchased when new and have impeccably maintained.
