Description of the problem	My 2006 jeep wrangler has developed a consistent failure to stop pumps at gas stations from continuing to pump fuel even though the tank is full. As a result, gasoline is spat out from the filler neck of the gas tank like a burst from a fountain, splashing out on the ground, on the side of the vehicle, and generally on me, the operator of the gas pump. It started about a year ago, and it now exhibits this behavior consistently every time i fill up. This is a problem not only due to the cumulative environmental impact of spilling out raw gasoline and of ruining clothing and resulting in carrying with me the strong smell of gasoline all day at work and at home, but it is also a clear and appalling safety hazard with raw gasoline splashed around. The jeep dealership has recommended a very costly replacement of the entire gas tank assembly at my own expense and has said that this will only temporarily relieve the symptoms, that the design has not changed and thus the problem will continue to resurface.
