| Description of the problem | 1. Fueling the vehicle. 2. When fuelling my 2006 jeep wrangler unlimited, gasoline will abruptly backflow out of the filler neck and spray all over as the tank gets close to being full. It happens so quickly and violently that the auto shutoff on the gas hose does not stop it. This will happen any time i attempt to fill the tank to full. Consequences: as a result, i have had gasoline sprayed all over me numerous times including getting it in my eyes. Also, gasoline gets all over the side of the vehicle and leaves puddles of gas on the ground creating a fire hazard. I must stop fuelling before the tank is full to prevent this from happening. Overall this is a life safety hazard and i feel it needs to be addressed. |
