| Description of the problem | Jeep wrangler 2005 and 2006. When filling the gas tank at the gas station, gasoline will overflow momentarily, spilling gasoline on the ground from the gas tank filler tube when the gas pump fuel nozzle shuts off. This has happened on the 2005 and 2006 model year wranglers i have own(ed). Reviewing comments on the internet this is a common problem with these model years. An additional problem is the internal sticking (due to internal valve plug expansion) check valve that causes spillage also may not permit proper fuel filling. |
