| Description of the problem | I received a letter from chrysler that my onboard diagnostic monitor may be defective and that the warranty has been extended to lifetime. I did the test and it is one of the affected vehicles. I took it to ertley motorworld and was told that because i live in an area that doesn't require this pollution test now, the only way they would fix it is if i pay them $ 79. 95. I said what if the test is required in the future in my area or if i move to another location that requires it or sell it to someone in that area and it won't be allowed to be licensed? I was told $ 79. 95 or don't fix it. Now i'm mad and out of $ 10. 00 in gas for my trouble. Why send these notices if it's just red tape to please the government and make fools of the consumer? |
