| Description of the problem | Fuel surges back out of fill tube while refueling. This happens everytime i refuel no matter what gas station, gas pump, how much fuel is added. About a quart of fuel will burp back out and will splash on the vehicle, ground, and person refueling the jeep. I took my jeep to the dealership where they admitted the problem is a faulty check valve located inside of the gas tank. The only repair is to replace the gas tank. I had to pay for the repairs because i'm the second owner of the vehicle which is only 5 years old and has 53,000 miles. This is clearly a manufactures defect and a safety issue that should be looked into and should be considered to be a recall at the manufactures expense. |
