| Description of the problem | 2004 jeep wrangler x has developed a noticeable shake, or "shimmy" within the last 30 days. This shake is especially violent at around 50 mph over paved road surfaces with unevenness or potholes. At times, this shaking is so severe as to make the vehicle difficult to control. This problem was evaluated by a jeep dealership. Their finding was that the alignment and steering are in good condition, however all four tires are out of round and need to be replaced. The tires are stock goodyear wrangler gs-a's and original to the vehicle. They have less than 25,000 miles on them and now appear to be failing at the same time. The dealer service representative reported that this is a condition is not uncommon. *nm |
