| Description of the problem | My 2007 jeep was in the shop for various repairs, however this one took the cake! I arrived home from work (6 miles away) when i noticed smoke coming out from under the hood. I found it was overheating, no indicator light to warn me, temperature gauge was at normal but the smell of anti-freeze was present. Towed it to the dealer and found the heater hose assembly, to be melted through from the "bad" design, of having it too close to the engine. Also it appeared to have two slices in the hoses , where the clamps were too close to the bend in the hoses. It cost me over $100. 00 to have it fixed. *kb |
