| Description of the problem | The airbag clock spring in the steering column has malfunctioned causing airbags to be disabled. This is a very wide spread issue on 07-2011 jeep wranglers, well documented on many owner boards. An official recall exists, but only for rhd models and 2007 lhd models. That is in spite of the fact that the failure prone oe part was used on wrangler models through 2011. The part number of the improved design replacement part is 5156106ac, which services all wrangles 2007-2014. |
