| Description of the problem | Front end oscillation internet term commonly called "death wobble " this vehicle was returned to the dealer to diagnose the problem and it was returned with no fault found as this is a friends car i haven't a record of the serial number but i was asked to give a second opinion ,i found nothing loose the steering damper was functioning correctly tires were rotated with no adverse wear or pattern i can only surmise that this having occurred many times to this vehicle that there must be metal fatigue between the mounting of the steering gear and axle mounting points and that an engineered brace will be required to damp out oscillation. |
