| Description of the problem | While driving approximately 50 mph, went over an expansion join on an interstate overpass and the front end of the jeep began shaking violently (found numerous online sites regarding the problem- jeep wrangler death wobble). Shaking stopped once speed was below 20 mph. Problem continued to occur when going over small bumps above 35 mph. Mechanic inspected and found both stock front shocks and steering stabilizer shock needed replacing. Problem still occurring, so jeep was brought to dealership. Dealership acknowledged that they have had similar complaints with jeep wranglers. Dealership installed steering stabilizer relocation brackets and a new stock steering stabilizer shock. Problem is still occurring and the jeep will be brought back to the dealership for further repair. |
