| Description of the problem | 2008 jeep wrangler jk - gas overflow (this issue is the same as that reported in investigation pe10032) when filling up with fuel at the service station, gas overflows and sprays all over the side of the vehicle, the ground, and the person operating the pump. This is a very hazardous scenario and could result in a fire, explosion, injury, or death. This should be considered a recall on the vehicle in question. 1. No events have led up to the failure. 2. This occurs every time when fueling the vehicle. 3. The service department at the jeep dealership says the only way to remedy the failure is to completely replace the entire gas tank assembly. |
