| Description of the problem | I have a 2008 jeep wrangler unlimited with approximately 45000 miles on it. Over the last 6 months or so i have been having an issue when i fill my gas tank, where the pump will not shut off and the tank will overflow, spewing gasoline out and onto the ground. This occurs approximately 3 out of 5 times or more, and at different locations. I feel this is a hazard and safety issue. I have checked several jeep forums, and it appears that this is a problem with the 2008 jeep wranglers, possibly involving the fill line or vent tube. Some forum members have stated that chrysler has replaced both aforementioned items, or the entire tank assembly. Can your agency please look in to this as a possible recall situation. Thank you! |
