| Description of the problem | We have a 2008 jeep wrangler x. When the fuel tank is filled to full or nearly full and the gas pump automatically shuts or clicks off fuel suddenly splashes out. It comes out with such force that it will splash the person fueling the jeep; it will run down the side of it and leave a puddle of fuel on the ground. Our fear is if someone were to toss a cigarette or discard a match after this happened that the fuel could ignite or explode. It is the vehicle that has the problem, not the fuel station pump as this has now occurred at different filling stations. |
