| Description of the problem | The airbag warning light illuminates at random times while vehicle is running. A diagnostic tool identified the problem as: b1b02 - driver airbag squib 1 circuit open, and b1b06 - driver airbag squib 2 circuit open. These are associated with the airbag clockspring assembly for which jeep issued a service bulletin in december 2011 for 2007 models only. There was also a recall on 2008 jeep wrangler jks for this issue but it only applied to right hand drive models. There is an obvious problem with this component which needs to be addressed and repaired in all models. *js |
