| Description of the problem | I have purchased a brand new 2008 jeep wrangler unlimited x. After 500 miles, the "electronic throttle control" light started flashing and the vehicle stalled. Fortunately, we were able to pull over and turn the car off. After consulting the owner's manual, we followed the troubleshooting instructions and the jeep started up fine. We drove approx 10 miles before the same problem occurred. We contacted the jeep service department, and they said that they had never heard of this. I find this to be a serious problem considering the different conditions in which this problem could occur. |
