Description of the problem	Was driving in subdivision, and air bag indicator light came on with chime. The problem persisted, and i took it to the dealership, (after calling chrysler) they indicated that this issue was not covered by any warranty, or special re-call. In talking to the mechanic and asking if there was a possibility that airbags would deploy without warning, or reason, he indicated that as long as the airbag indicator light is on, and there is an error code, the airbags would not deploy even if needed. I feel that this faulty clock spring is, (and or should be) recalled for a safety issue, as i have read many forums of people experiencing the same issues... I was told that the replacement part alone, was $300. 00, and the additional labor is $213. 00 for installation.. Chrysler has placed their vehicle owners in a financial bind, forcing their customers to pay additional fees over and above the cost of the vehicle for simple vehicle safety. This part should be recalled and available to all jeep wrangler vehicle owners to rectify potential problems that may arise from non- deployment of airbags if needed in an accident.
