| Description of the problem | The air bag warning light and chime come on randomly multiple times while operating the vehicle. The issue is due to a malfunctioning or defective clockspring in the steering column. This was confirmed by cutter jeep on oahu, pearl city. There has already been a recall or warranty extension on the same model jeeps but only for 2007. This same issue is occurring in the 2008 models, and so the recall needs to be extended to this model year as well. It was jan. 29, 2013 when this warning light on issue happened. Why won't chrysler help with this problem as this is a safety issue, if an accident occurs, no airbag or the horn can go out! We need the extension of recall, this seems to be too common of an issue as i research! |
