| Description of the problem | My 2007 jeep wrangler unlimited went through two different clocksprings. Then in my 2008 wrangler the same thing happened at approximately 35,000 miles. I then got a recall notice on the clocksprings in the 2007, but not the 2008. Chrysler did reimburse me for the 2007 clocksprings per the recall, but hesitated on the 2008 and agreed to reimburse only partial the amount, even though it is the exact same clockspring. At approximately 57,000 miles the replacement clockspring went out in the 2008 wrangler. It should be noted that this is the exact same clockspring that a recall was issued for the 2007. I am pursuing another reimbursement but believe that since the same clocksprings that were recalled in the 2007 are in the 2008 models, that they too should be recalled. |
