| Description of the problem | 2008 jeep wrangler... Was driving at low speed and airbag light came on randomly. Ever since, the airbag light goes on and off at random times. Was told by the dealer that when the light is on, the airbag will not work. Clock spring was the issue and needs replaced ($490). Have found this to be a very common issue and in most cases is a recurring problem in the same vehicle. Other models with the same part number have been recalled or warranty extended but not this one. I can't get an explanation as to why. Chrysler refused assistance in this matter but acknowledged that it is a known safety issue. Told me to "wait and see" about a recall! |
