| Description of the problem | 2007 jeep wrangler sahara front ends shakes uncontrollably. This is triggered by hitting a bump at highway speeds and cannot be stopped without slowing the vehicle to a near stop. This is more than a "shimmy" and has been appropriately termed the "death wobble". This can cause a fatal crash. It occurs roughly every 5,000 miles after the dealership has replaced various parts involved with steering. I have had the vehicle in for repair 6 or 7 times now. I have replaced steering dampeners and stabalizer bars numerous times. Tires have been rotated and road force balanced. |
