| Description of the problem | Contents are letter forward to terra flex. Original sent to vehicle owner. I understand your frustration with us. Please look closely at your picture. The tag states clearly the grease zert is to face down. When the heim is installed in this position the arm yoke will not line up with the axle mount " off center by 5 inches". This arm uses an offset design heim. I personally spoke with tech support at tera flex and their recommendation was to proceed with installing the arm with the grease zert facing down and the tag facing down. Tech stated the arm must have been mislabeled. I advised this will change the suspension symmetry as well as the arm coming in close contact with the frame when the axle reaches travel limits. Who ever i spoke with was grossly miss informed. We proceeded under advisement by tera flex and has now made us to be the fool in your eyes. When installing a highly modified suspension package we do so in accordance with the manufacturer recommendations so not to create a safety hazard. This is why i made the necessary contacts with tera flex when the printed installation procedure that came with the kit was not consistent with the part design. I am calling tera flex now. The owner of tera flex shall be advised i will be forwarding a safety advisement to the national highway traffic safety administration. You see , i am a triple master ase certified tech as well as a federal cfr qualified safety inspector. My reputation is set to the side when public safety becomes a predominate concern! I strongly believe the conduct of tera flex poses a clear and present danger to the public welfare, (i. E. High probability of loss of vehicle control causing personal injury or death). I am formally recommending you do not operate this vehicle (vin# ) until such time the lift kit manufacturer, tera flex, issues a public notice of recall or technical service bulletin and provides it to all owners of this kit. |
