| Description of the problem | While driving on the expressway, the steering began to wobble and shake violently. This has happened again several times, even after having the tires balanced and an alignment. A couple of times it nearly caused me to go off the road into a ditch. I also experienced this with my 1997 jeep wrangler 2 door 4x4. I caused me to go off the road, into the ditch and through a fence. I became aware that this is a problem with jeeps in general, when i saw a news report on tv about it. I had been told by the jeep dealer/service department it was an alignment problem or tire problem. Now i see this is a manufacturer problem. |
