Description of the problem	Vehicle: 2007 jeep 4 door wrangler (unlimited) experienced complete loss of brakes while coasting uphill. I was approaching us-221 from a secondary road traveling uphill towards a stop sign. When i removed my foot from the accelerator and applied the brakes the pedal went to the floor making a grinding noise. I had no brakes to stop as i approached this busy highway which is heavily traveled by tractor trailers. I managed to stop the vehicle with the emergency brake just before entering the intersection. There was no stall from the engine during the whole event. If i had not acted quickly and panicked it is quite possible me and my family could have been severely injured or possible killed by entering this busy 55 mph highway. I was forced to leave the vehicle in the road and had to direct traffic around it for 1-1/2 hours while i waited for the chrysler's tow truck. Once again this created a dangerous situation for me and people entering the intersection. Vehicle is at dealer however dealer states he cannot find anything wrong with it and is waiting for a reply from chrysler on what to do. Chrysler stated yesterday on 9-17-07 that there is no recall for this item on my vehicle. National news states otherwise. Extremely dangerous problem with truck. *jb
