| Description of the problem | I am the owner of a 2007 jeep wrangler unlimited with 56,000 miles. I purchased the vehicle new in april of 2007. The problem is overflowing gas when the tank is filled. Once the tank is filled completely, the pump clicks off and the fuel tank then "burps" about 1 pint of fuel out. At times, the fuel comes out vigorously in a spray making it even more flammable and covering me and the vehicle. I have gone to many different gas stations since and have the problem every time i fill the tank. The problem also occurs when i hold the pump and try to limit the fuel flow. Per the dealership's recommendation, i have replaced the vehicle's evaporation canister, but the problem remains. |
