| Description of the problem | Starting a few months ago my 2007 jeep wrangler with 51000 miles, started to have issues when refueling. When filing up the tank, shortly after the auto shut-off kicks in, gas will spray out of the filler. This issue just started and appears to happen at all gas stations. I currently do not fill my up jeep all the way to prevent this from happening, but this is a pretty big safety concern. My wife will not get gas in this car due to this issue as well. My vehicle is out of warranty. After reading about this online, it appears there are many jeep wrangler owners (2007 and newer) who have the same issue. Some dealers are replacing the gas tanks, but most are not admitting there is any issue. Due to this being a big safety issue, i wanted this reported and maybe there could be a recall. |
