| Description of the problem | Normal vehicle use. No visible failure, however the fuel tank has an internal failure/defect that does not allow the air to vent during filling of the fuel tank. This causes the fuel to shoot out of the filler cap during normal filling, spilling approximately 1 quart of gasoline on the bumper and ground. It occurs during every fill up at any gas station. I took it to the dealer and they did nothing and informed me if i wanted it to work properly i would have to purchase an entire new gas tank. Vehicle is just 2 years old and less than 60,000 miles. I expressed safety concerns and the dealership did not care. |
