| Description of the problem | The hood of my jeep lifts up during the following conditions: 1) when driving at highway speeds on a windy day. 2) when driving over 50mph and a large vehicle, such as a truck, passes in the opposite direction. It appears that the 2 hood latches (one on each side) stretch enough to allow the hood to lift when there is sufficient air pressure generated from wind. The center hood latch has caught the hood during these occasions. I am concerned that the hood may come completely unlatched, then raise all the way up thus blocking my view - which may result in an accident. |
