Description of the problem	Air bag light continuously illuminated, determined clock spring in the steering column was defective. Chrysler has a recall for right hand steering 2009 jeep wranglers and has extended warranty to repair 2007 jeep wranglers with this issue yet has done nothing for other affected models. The failure of this part can result air bags not deploying during an accident. This is a safety issue that puts all customers at risk. Whether the steering is right hand, left hand, 2007 or 2009, they are all affected yet chrysler chooses the same path as gm and their ignition switch issues by recalling or extending warranties to only fix those that they are forced to fix at the expense of the safety of their other customers who have the same defective part in their steering columns. Does the nhtsa condone this action? Chrysler is clearly aware of the safety issue and should be held accountable should anyone or if anyone has already been injured or killed by this defective part.
