| Description of the problem | Getting ready to go to work i open my driver side door and the horn starts blowing, wiper fluid squirting continuously, windshield wipers constantly going that have now scratched my hood, internal lights blinking, radiator/coolant fan going, all lights on the dash come on, the headlights flashing as they please, the airbag light stays on, and heat stops working. I had to get my boyfriend to disconnect my horn because at 7 a. M. It is very embarrassing to wake the neighbors! I had to disconnect the battery. Now i can sometimes get it to stop by slapping the fuse box cover. At times my car won't shut off with the key taken out so i have to let it jump in first gear while pushing the brake. The first time this happened to me i almost rear ended a car in the daycare parking lot as we all parallel park to get to the front door. This happens whenever it wants to and now that it is getting darker earlier i have to worry about transporting my child with no headlights at night because i have no other means of transportation which this happened to me on the way to pick her up last night 11/12/14. The issue is happening more often in colder weather and is not safe at all to have no headlights working at night because of the electrical issues going on. I took the car to the chrysler/dodge/jeep dealership and had to wait almost two weeks before they could look at it. They could not find the issue because when they checked everything it did not do anything but act normal for them. I see this being a common issue with wranglers lately and am waiting for the answer on the petition and investigation before i decide if this is worth fixing and keeping. Not safe at all! |
