| Description of the problem | The air bag dash light came on, indicating a fault in the airbag safety system. Then the seatbelt light came on even though the seatbelt was fastened. It seems that when the driving lights were on, the brake lights would not light at all; and the turn indicator did a fast blink. The dealer believes the clock spring in the steering has a short and caused the other electrical faults. So the car seems to have a non-functional airbag, and no brake lights. This is a dangerous failure. It appears this is a common failure model on jeeps, but they have not issued a recall on this vin yet. |
