| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2007 jeep wrangler 4x4. The contact was driving 60 mph when the front wheels began to shake uncontrollably. The contact stated that the failure would cease once the vehicle was decelerated to 40 mph. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who adjusted the tire pressure and performed an alignment but to no avail. The vehicle was then taken to an authorized dealer but the technician was unable to diagnose the failure. The vehicle was taken to a second dealer who advised that the failure was attributed to a combination of a defect in the steering dampener, tire wear and an alignment. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and a complaint was filed ut no further assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 53,106. |
