| Description of the problem | Starting in late 2008, when refueling my 2007 jeep wrangler jk, the automatic shutoff at gas pumps doesn't shut off when my tank is full causing fuel to overflow and occasional splash out of the fuel filler neck of the vehicle. If i do not shut off the gas pump manually before it is full, this has occurred every time i put fuel in the vehicle. This issue has resulted in minor to significant fuel spillage including soaking my hands and feet in fuel at various times. Other than monitoring and stopping the pump during refueling, i have taken no action to resolve the issue. |
