| Description of the problem | My 2007 jeep wrangler x has had a recurring problem with fuel spilling from the fuel tank nozzle during fill-ups. When the tank is full and the gas pump shuts off, fuel gushed from the filler tube and down the side of the vehicle and onto the ground. The fender and bumper near the fill nozzle are now discolored due to the situation. I have brought the vehicle to a dealer to complain about this, and they replaced the gas tank. This did not solve the problem. Every fill up, i have the same problem. I am concerned that at some point, the fuel will hit a hot area and ignite. I see that a number of complaints on this very issue have been filed (pe10032). Please address it!!!! |
